About Us

Career Development and Alumni Services

The Student Employment Counseling Room was established under the Office of Student Affairs for the purposes of cultivating talents for the society and teaching knowledge to be contributed to the people at the same time when the school was founded in 1958. After several restructuring efforts in response to the social evolution, the unit was renamed the Career Development and Alumni Services in 2012.

The main functions of the Section are to follow the school motto and meet social expectations to cultivate students' quality of humanities and professional knowledge, connecting school education to workplace education and developing a career path suitable for talents, and play the role of a point of contact between the school and alumni, so that students can become highly competitive and adaptive professionals.

Focuses on providing students with career development guidance to connect to workplace education. Responsible for implementation of student career development plans and activity plans for the entire school, and provides counseling activities for diverse career development, capacity diagnosis and assessment tools, employment seminars, career consultation, etc., so that students learn about themselves and their own capabilities and plans to define their career directions. It reinforces the results of career counseling to improve students' employment competitiveness.  Students are encouraged to actively participate in internship programs both at home and abroad. Act as a point of contact between the school and alumni. Follow up on the status of alumni, provide alumni services and develop campus souvenirs, further expanding fundraising work.

Main tasks of the Section: Career development counseling, career seminars, employment and work-study opportunities, Internship Abroad Platform, alumni services and contact, campus souvenirs, and fundraising.

 

Career development counseling
Help students and alumni explore themselves, learn to plan and define career directions early.
 
Career seminars
Help students and alumni understand the environments and needs of various types of workplaces and prepare for job hunting.
 
Employment and work-study opportunities
Provide work-study, full-time and internship opportunities either on-campus or off-campus. Connect to resources in both public and private sectors, such as the Youth Development Administration of the Ministry of Education, the Workforce Development Agency of the Ministry of Labor, Youth Salon, CAREER Consult Co. Ltd, etc.
 
Internship Abroad Platform
USC tailors our services to international businesses to implement internship abroad programmes and train students with the skills and experience that employers are looking for. Under this programme, students can strengthen their international mobility, global perspective and competitive advantages.
 
Alumni Service and Contact
Welcome to USC alumni community. We are here to help you maintain a lifelong connection with us and keep your details up to date. All alumni can connect with us through social media. With alumni in almost every country around the world, international alumni associations are encouraged and supported to set up.
 
University Souvenir Shop
We develop alumni association cohesiveness by offering alumni entrepreneurship support and participating in USC souvenirs collaboration.
 
Fundraising
Your support can help students in need to achieve more than they ever thought possible. That is why we work hard to ensure that talented people can study here, regardless of their backgrounds. Data transparency and fundraising pipeline are crucial strategies to diversify the USC fundraising approach.
